Today at the NLRB hearing, a strategic decision was made to withdraw the petiton for PSEA representation of the technical employees. Management stated they were prepared to argue the placement of 32 different job classifications within the technical employees bargaining unit. This was interpreted by the organizing committee and our legal council to be both an attempt to load the ballet with non union voters and to further delay the actual election thus giving management more time to spread misinformation. These job classifications are being reviewed by our legal council and the technical employees involved. The petition for representation will be refiled in the very near future.
The petition for representation of the Jefferson Nurses Association is moving forward as planned. The hearing will continue in the morning. A complete report will be posted here in the next day or two.
